By Lucy Perry Indiana Central News A local man was arrested Sunday night after allegedly stealing $1,000 worth of merchandise from a local retailer. Mickey Archer II, 33, of Terre Haute, was booked into the Vigo County Jail just before 10 p.m. He is charged with operating without ever obtaining a license and conversion. According to scanner traffic, loss prevention at Walmart East alerted the Terre Haute Police Department that the suspect was concealing several electronic items before leaving the store in a red Chevy Blazer. Officers conducted a traffic stop and took Archer into custody without incident. Archer was also arrested earlier this year on shoplifitng charges. By Lucy Perry
Indiana Central News One person is dead after a fatal stabbing at a local motel Sunday morning. Information is limited at this time, including the name of the victim. However, the Terre Haute Police Department said that when officers arrived at the Rodeway Inn on S. Third Street, a man was administering CPR to the stabbing victim. That person was transported to a local hospital, where he died a short time later. Emergency crews were dispatched to the motel around 8:15 a.m. Officers identified the stabbing suspect, according to the report. At this time, no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing. |
