![]() A suspect wanted on an outstanding warrant, and in connection to a domestic situation that led to a standoff in Terre Haute this week, has been arrested. According to information from Acting Chief of Terre Haute Police Shawn Keen, Ryan L. Hughley, 29, of Indianapolis, was located in the 1900 block of Plum Street, and taken into custody after a short foot pursuit last night. He is being held in the Vigo County Jail on a warrant for parole violation related to a robbery. Reportedly, THPD officers assigned to the U.S. Marshall’s Task Force were assisted by other task force members in the arrest of Hughley. SEE related story.
After receiving tips regarding the location of a wanted suspect, Vigo County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Jamie Brown-Drake on an outstanding felony warrant today. A second suspect, Dusty Phegley, was also taken into custody at the scene.
The pair was booked into the VIgo County Jail this afternoon. Brown-Drake, 35, and Phegley, 23, are now both charged with possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance and two counts of theft. The deputies seized several stolen items from the southern Vigo County residence. "The items recovered today may be related to several recent thefts from vehicles along with a burglary in the area," Chief Deputy John Moats stated. While inside the home at 7311 Wilcocks Place, deputies reportedly noticed items in plain view that appeared to match items known to have been recently reported stolen. According to the VIgo County Sheriff’s Office press release, detectives obtained a search warrant to search the entire home for additional stolen items. More items were located throughout the residence. This investigation is ongoing at this time. Both arrestees are scheduled to appear in Vigo County Superior Court Div. 3 tomorrow. |
