UPDATED
By Lucy Perry Indiana Central News The Terre Haute Fire Department reportedly arrested two juvenile suspects in connection to a massive warehouse blaze last night on the city's north side. Crews responded to thescene near N.17th Street and Maple Avenue in Terre Haute just before 8 p.m. The former cardboard factory was completely engulfed in flames and heavy smoke. Firefighters worked hours to get the blazeunder control. No injuries were reported. A large fire was investigated there in April. Officials say it was also arson. Crowds gathered around the scene last night to see what was going on near their homes. To the rear of the structure, standing near railroad tracks that police were called to monitor, one woman said she grew up in the 12 points area. "Fires were always a chance to talk with your neighbors," she said, noting the interest of the many onlookers whom were standing at an adjacent park -- all watching the dark smoke bellow out from of the old warehouse. -- See related story: http://www.indianacentralnews.com/terre-haute-news/crews-respond-to-warehouse-blaze-on-terre-hautes-north-side Comments are closed.
