A man suffered lower extremity injuries when he was thrown from his motorcycle in a crash with a vehicle this afternoon.
Terre Haute Police Department officers and Terre Haute Fire Department EMTs arrived at the scene just after 3 p.m. at the intersection of South 19th and Crawford Streets. The victim was transported to an area hospital after complaining of leg pain and not was able to stand. The 67-year-old crash victim was westbound on Crawford Street, nearing the South 19th Street intersection, when a male driver of a silver Mercedes passenger car had turned the corner to head eastbound on Crawford Street and struck the blue motorcycle. The driver of the car said he lives near the area and did not see the motorcycle when he turned the corner. The car sustained front left driver side damage. The motorcycle also sustained damage.The victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Comments are closed.
