Vigo County Sheriff’s deputies responded to report of an armed robbery that resulted in a resident at the home in the Southwood Subdivision being stabbed with a knife in a violent attack last night.
During the investigation, deputies discovered heroin, methamphetamine and cocaine at the residence. Officials now believe the incident was related to drug activity and arrested the following four suspects who were were transported to the Vigo County Jail and scheduled to appear in Superior Court Div.3:
Sheriff Greg Ewing explained today that two unidentified white male suspects were wearing masks and forced their way into the home after knocking on the door of the home. "When the door was answered, one of the males had a handgun and the other was swinging a baseball bat demanding money. At some point, one of the suspects tripped and the resident grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the suspect in the back," Ewing said, noting that both suspects fled the scene. More than16 grams of heroin was located by deputies and small amounts of what is believed to be meth and cocaine were also discovered. Additional testing will be conducted by the Indiana State Police Crime Lab in Indianapolis. The Sheriff warns that there are negative consequences when using drugs. “Dope, money and guns are a volatile combination” he said. “It appears that the heroin was being sold by the way it was packaged and the amount”, Ewing said. “This is a good example of what being involved in drugs will do.” Comments are closed.
