Indiana Central News A Rosedale man is in jail today after an armed Terre Haute resident called police when the suspect walked into his northside home last night. Randall E. Myers, 38, was booked into the Vigo County Jail just before 3 a.m. He is charged with level 6 felony residential entry- break and enter dwelling. Officers were dispatched to the home on First Avenue around 10:30 p.m.. The resident explained that the stranger had walked into the house uninvited and seemed intoxicated, according to the probable cause affidavit prepared by Officer Kurt Brinegar, of the Terre Haute Police Department. The suspect was holding his jeans up with his hands when he blurted out, "What the f--- are you doing?" according to the report. Quick thinking, the resident grabbed his handgun and ordered the suspect to leave at once. "I had the gun, he didn't have anything. So, I knew I wasn't getting hurt," the resident told Indiana Central News following the incident. A nearby witness, who had been standing outside by her vehicle, informed officers that the suspect was observed walking inside and then closing door behind him after entering the home. Police located the suspect in the area of N. 13th and Locust Streets a short time later, where he was taken into custody. Comments are closed.
