Indiana Central News A Terre Haute woman was arrested on multiple drug charges after a traffic stop near downtown last night. Stephani C. Presnell, 45, was booked into the Vigo County Jail around midnight. She is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe, unlawful possession of a legend drug, possession of a narcotic drug, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. Indiana State Police Trooper James Crisp stopped the teal 2003 Hyundai passenger car for improper headlights at Third and Cherry Streets just before 10:30 p.m. Because vehicle occupants were behaving suspiciously, Crisp requesting K-9 assistance, ISP Sgt. Joe Watts said explained. A positive alert was indicated by K-9 Czar. "A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded a few grams of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana, multiple syringes, controlled substance pills, and assorted drug paraphernalia," Watts said.
