Indiana Central News A knife-wielding Terre Haute man is facing multiple charges after allegedly breaking into a local residence -- then stealing several items and battering a woman on Thanksgiving Day. Timothy S. Fagg, 43, was arrested on a warrant and booked into the Vigo County Jail Dec. 6. He remains held in the jail on $50, 000 bail, no 10 percent allowed. He is charged with burglary while armed with a deadly weapon, robbery, criminal confinement, intimidation and strangulation. According to the probable cause affidavit, filed by Detective Jason Fischer, of the Vigo County Sheriff's Office, Fagg allegedly forced entry into the back door of a former roommate's residence by breaking it, just before midnight Nov.28. The victim reported that the suspect formerly resided with her in the residence, but she had kicked him out in August. By the time she confronted Fagg about what he was doing there, she stated he had grabbed a knife in the kitchen and demanded she go upstairs because "he wanted to talk." He allegedly threatened to kill her if she didn't do as he said. Allegedly holding the woman at knife point in her own bedroom, he took several items, including a soundbar and subwoofer, medications and her cell phone. The victim attempted to escape, with Fagg responding angrily and battering her, according to the report. He allegedly threw her to the floor. The victim alleges, "Fagg then got on top of her and struck her with a backhand and began to choke her with both hands. [She] lost consciousness as a result of being strangled by Fagg," according to the documents. By the time she came to, he was gone. The victim noted that her phone found was ultimately found in the mailbox, where the suspect had placed it as he left the property. Fagg is set to appear in Vigo Superior Court Div. 5 for pretrial conference Feb. 13. According to court documents, Fagg also has a case pending from 2017, with similar charges, in Div. 4 Superior Court. Comments are closed.
