By Lucy Perry Indiana Central News A joint effort between law enforcement recently checked for compliance with local registered sex offenders. Wednesday, the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office, along with the United States Marshal’s Service, teamed up for "Operation Child Safe" to pay special attention to sexually violent predators. Sheriff John Plasse said two arrests were made and nine investigations opened where the offender is suspected of giving false information during the operation,
Most reportedly follow guidelines. In fact, out of 100 offenders targeted, 65 were found to be in compliance.
Additional offenders will be checked on in the coming days, Plasse said, noting that the effort is a way to keep the community safe. Comments are closed.
