Indiana Central News A man was arrested today, following a rowdy fight that began at a downtown bar and ended during an eastside confrontation yesterday, resulting in a vehicle sustaining damage from gunshots fired in the ongoing brawl. Devon Todd, 25, of Terre Haute, was booked into the Vigo County Jail this afternoon at about 2 p.m. He charged with four counts of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon-- a level 5 felony and criminal mischief -- a class A misdemeanor. Public Information Officer Ryan Adamson explained today that many participants in the bar fight broke away from that scene and then headed to the 2700 block of Fenwood Avenue, near the Kroger grocery store. Adamson said that is when Todd allegedly got out of one of the vehicles and threw a brick through the front windshield of the victim’s vehicle. "The victim then attempted to drive away when the victim said that Devon Todd pulled out a handgun and fired several shots into the victim’s car, which was occupied by four females. Devon Todd was struck by the victim’s vehicle. Devon Todd fled the scene after being struck," Adamson said, noting that no one in the vehicle was injured. According to the report, Terre Haute Police Department officers broke up the large fight at the Verve just before 3 p.m. yesterday. Officers arrived at the bar, located at Seventh Street and Wabash Avenue, and reportedly found nearly 60 people engaged in fighting, within various clusters, at the scene. Detectives of the Violent Crimes Unit investigated the case and were able to locate Todd and arrest him. Comments are closed.
