Man arrested on warrant after dispute with code enforcement

A man was taken into custody after a reported dispute with code enforcement officers this afternoon in Terre Haute.

Code enforcement officers responded to complaints about the suspect's tall grass in the 1200 block of S.Center Street before noon. 

According to scanner traffic, the man was uncooperative, becoming confrontational.

Further investigation resulted in the Special Response Team being called to the scene when it was discovered the suspect had a warrant from another county on child neglect charges.The man ultimately was located in the attic area of the residence and was arrested on the warrant around 12:30 p.m.

The Terre Haute Police Department has not released further information at this time.
