A man is dead after being ejected from a vehicle during a traffic pursuit on Terre Haute's south side early Saturday morning.
Information is limited at this time, as the investigation is underway, including the name of the deceased. According to the Terre Haute Police Department, an officer attempted to stop a Jeep SUV at S. Eighth and Swan Streets around 4 a.m. --- following a report alleging people in a Jeep were threatening to shoot the caller. The driver of the Jeep allegedly fled the area before crashing at S.13th and Lockport Streets. The suspect died a short time after being transported to a local hospital. A surviving passenger was also taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries suffered in the crash. Indiana State Police will continue the investigation. Comments are closed.
