Indiana Central News A Terre Haute man is dead after a police pursuit on the city's south side ended with a crash late last night. Kem Poke, 28, was ejected from the mangled vehicle around 11 p.m. He was transported to a nearby hospital for injuries suffered from the crash and pronounced dead a short time later. According to the Terre Haute Police Department, Poke was traveling at a high rate of speed on Crawford Street when officer activated his lights. The car proceeded to evade the officer, heading northbound past Poplar Street. "By the time the officer caught up to the car, it had crashed at 13th and Orchard Streets," a press release states.
