Indiana Central News A Terre Haute man was sentenced to more than 20 years in federal prison today after officials say he shipped methamphetamine and fentanyl through the mail. Robin Lennox, 49, was sentenced for his part in the local drug trafficking operation. According to the report, Lennox regularly purchased multiple pound quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl from Arizona and them sent the drugs back home to himself in 2017 and 2018. While law enforcement was able to intercept many of the packages containing the drugs, Lennox was able to continue distributing drugs to other dealers in the local area at the time. United States Attorney Josh J. Minkler says drug trafficking, in any way, puts everyone in danger. “Those individuals who choose to illegally peddle drugs into our neighborhoods by mail or through other means, thereby endangering our citizens will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law,” he stated in the press release. Co-defendants Eric Bright, Bobby Shewmake, and Lauren Coomes were previously sentenced in the case. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Vigo County Drug Task Force and Terre Haute Police Department assisted in the investigation. Comments are closed.
