Terre Haute man arrested in connection to northside stabbing

Police arrested a Terre Haute man after a stabbing on the city's north side Friday evening.

Gerri N. Neidhammer, 28,  was booked into the Vigo County Jail around 11 p.m. He is charged with: Invasion of privacy ( two counts), possession of methamphetamine and possession of a hypodermic syringe or meedle.

According to the Terre Haute Police Department, a female was stabbed in her leg during an argument over missing money. The altercation reportedly involved several juveniles and adults, including Neidhammer.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the 1900 block of Third Avenue around 5:20 p.m. 

A female victim  was transported to a local hospital for treatment of the non-life threatening injury.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges could be filed in the case, according to a THPD spokeman.
