During the chase, neighbors had witnessed the male attempt to break into the residence at 308 S 15th Street, and partially pull the door from the hinges." ![]() UPDATED 2/21/16 Terre Haute Police Department officers apprehended a suspect fleeing on foot in the 1500 block of Walnut Street at around 10 p.m. Saturday night. Marvin D. Green, 29, of Terre Haute, was booked into the Vigo County Jail around 10:40 p.m. He is charged with criminal mischief, dealing in marijuana, possession of marijuana, resisisting law enforcement and break and enter residential entry. He was taken into custody after allegedly leading police on a chase through a residential neighborhood. Officers were observed placing some evidence in one car, which appeared to be drug-related. According to Chief Shawn Keen, officers were dispatched to 1515 Walnut Street in reference to the report of a male trespassing in an abandoned residence. Upon the arrival of officers, they witnessed a male in the backyard of the residence who ran immediately upon seeing officers. Officers pursued the male as they identified themselves and told him to stop. The male reportedly fled west and was later located beside 308 S 15th Street. "The male refused orders by officers to remove his hands from his pockets, and kicked one officer while being taken into custody. During the chase, neighbors had witnessed the male attempt to break into the residence at 308 S 15th Street, and partially pull the door from the hinges. The officers also located marijuana and scales on the subject and the area he was arrested," Keen stated in a press release today. Green is scheduled to appear in Vigo County Superior Court Div. 6 Monday. His bail $10,000, no 10 percent allowed. Comments are closed.
