![]() A man was booked into the Vigo County Jail after community tips led officials to a home with methamphetamine-related activity today. Norman L. Shank, 53, of West Terre Haute, is charged with: Manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a lookalike substance, maintaining a common nuisance, receiving stolen property and convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Reportedly, Indiana State Police Troopers from the Putnamville District Meth Suppression Unit descended upon a residence at 8955 North Libertyville Place, West Terre Haute at around 11:30 a.m. to follow up on the tips of drug activity. "During the investigation, troopers discovered what is believed to be evidence of a prior meth lab, approximately one gram of suspected methamphetamine, approximately eight grams of suspected bath salts, and a .45 caliber American Tactical semi-auto handgun reported stolen October 2015 to the Terre Haute Police Department," ISP Sgt. Joe Watts explained this afternoon. The case was investigated by ISP Meth Suppression Troopers Shilo Raulston, B. J. Patterson and Adam Edwards. Assisting were ISP Troopers Ted Robertson and Justin Bell. Anyone wishing to report suspected methamphetamine activity can do so by calling the Putnamville Post at 765-653-4114.
