The Terre Haute Police Department reports that a suspect was seen placing a suspicious device into a mailbox at Fourth and Ohio Streets around 7 p.m. The suspect was reportedly wearing a black zip up hoodie with the hood up over their head. The person was observed wearing a white glove on one hand, which was holding and placing the package in the mailbox The investigation is ongoing. By Lucy Perry Indiana Central News The Indiana State Police Bomb Squad responded to downtown Terre Haute after a suspicious package was found placed in a mailbox this evening. According to scanner traffic, Terre Haute Police Department officers were called to the scene just after 5 p.m, and blocked off several streets surrounding the area of Fourth and Ohio Streets. The roads remained closed to traffic until ISP arrived and deemed the package safe, around 10 p.em. Comments are closed.
