Indiana Central News A Terre Haute man was sentenced to more than 20 years in federal prison today after officials say he shipped large amounts of methamphetamine and fentanyl through the mail. Robin Lennox, 49, was sentenced to 23 years in federal prison for drug trafficking. According to the report, Lennox regularly purchased multiple pound quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl from Arizona and had mailed the drugs back home to himself in 2017 and 2018. While law enforcement was able to intercept many of the packages containing the drugs, Lennox managed to distribute drugs to other dealers in the Terre Haute area. United States Attorney Josh J. Minkler, of the Southern District Court of Indiana, announced the sentencing by U.S. District Judge James Patrick Hanlon. He said drug trafficking of by any means puts everyone in danger. “Those individuals who choose to illegally peddle drugs into our neighborhoods by mail or through other means, thereby endangering our citizens will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law,” Minkler stated in a press release. Several co-defendants were previously sentenced to 120, 70, and 32 months of imprisonment. respectively, in the case, including: Eric Bright, Bobby Shewmake and Lauren Coomes. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Vigo County Drug Task Force and Terre Haute Police Department assisted in the investigation. Comments are closed.
