Shooting in Terre Haute sends 1 to hospital , 2 to jail

Emergency crews responded to a shooting in Terre Haute Friday afternoon.

Around 1 p.m., the Terre Haute Police Department was dispatched to S. 15th and Walnut Streets for an injured person, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Two suspects were taken into custody a short time later.

Swinson/Vigo Co. Jail

Javier M Jamerson,17, of Terre Haute​, was booked into the Vigo County Jail and charged as an adult for the following: Aggravated battery, robbery, resisting law enforcement and pointing a firearm. 

Damien W Swinson Jr. , 18, also of Terre Haute, was booked into the jail and charged with: Aggravated battery, robbery and resisting law enforcement.

Information on the victim is limited at this time. However, official say he was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
