By Lucy Perry Indiana Central News Police arrived to a Terre Haute motel early yesterday morning to find a stabbing victim being loaded onto an ambulance. The suspect, Michael J. Byrer, 31, was booked into the Vigo County Jail around 2 a.m. He is charged with aggravated battery and residential entry at Motel 6 in Room 147. The victim, Brandon Norton, alleges that Byrer arrived at the room where he was staying with his girlfriend -- demanding to be let inside. " Brandon said Michael made multiple threats to kill him and demanded to be let in the room," according to the probable cause affidavit, prepared by Officer Tell Howson, of the Terre Haute Police Department. Ultimately, he somehow came into the room and allegedly cornered the victim , stabbing him. The victim's girlfriend was able to separate the two and push the suspect out of the room before police arrived. Norton was not wearing a shirt when Howson observed two puncture wounds, "One below his right nipple and one below his left nipple," the documents state. Later, the hospital confirmed a third wound in the victim's back. Bryer was arrested in May on knife related charges after allegedly trying to attack people in grocery store parking lot. -- See related story Also see story from May
