Indiana Central News Terre Haute Police Department officers were able to recover a stolen vehicle after a pursuit this afternoon, although the suspect was not apprehended after fleeing from the vehicle on foot. According to scanner traffic, the suspect --- described as a white male, approximately in his late 20s to early 30s --- allegedly stole a white Dodge pickup truck from a northside business just before 8 a.m. After stealing the truck, the suspect allegedly stopped at a northside liquor store and stole three bottles of apple -flavored Crown Royal whiskey. Officers located the stolen truck later, at N. 11th Street and Seventh Avenue, and a pursuit ensued. The suspect was able to evade officers at one point in the pursuit. Ultimately, the suspect crashed the vehicle into car near N. 14th and Locust Streets, in an alley. He immediately fled on foot around 3 p.m. The truck was towed from the scene. Two of the three bottles of alcohol and the suspect's hoodie were also recovered from inside the truck. Comments are closed.
