Suspect flees THPD on south side

Information is limited at this time, however Terre Haute Police Department officers were canvassing a southside neighborhood this evening, in search of a suspect.

According to scanner traffic, the suspect fled on foot in the area of South Eighth Street and Harrison Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. He was described as wearing black shorts with no shirt on and weighing about 170 pounds. Several units responded to the scene. THPD has not commented on the incident. More information will be provided once it becomes available.
