Indiana Central News A reportedly jealous ex-boyfriend is in jail after allegedly stabbing a man one week ago on Terre Haute's north side. According to court documents, Vigo Superior Court 4 Judge Chris Newton ordered a warrant for 31-year-old Mark Wilson's arrest June 16 on a petition to revoke release on bond/own recognizance. He was taken into custody yesterday at around 3 p.m. and booked into the Vigo County Jail, where he currently is charged with invasion of privacy, intimidation, domestic battery, burglary -resulting in bodliy injury and aggravated battery. He remains in custody with no bond allowed. With a police investigation underway, the sister of the hospitalized victim's girlfriend -- Jenni Taylor -- immediately went on Facebook asking for help finding the suspect who had fled the scene at N. 22nd and Linden Streets. Her post, including the suspect's photo, was shared more than 13,000 times on social media. Taylor explained to ICN that Wilson, of West Terre Haute, had been released from jail on his own recognizance two weeks just before the stabbing.
Taylor said the family feared Wislon would return to harm someone soon after his release from jail, despite a protective order. In fact, she expained that his last arrest was on charges related to breaking in her house and attacking while she was getting ready for work.
Wilson allegedly reappeared at the woman's home around midnight. Neighbors later recalled how they were alerted by the injured couple knocking on thier doors to call 911. Police arrived at the scene around 12:15 a.m. The woman had allegedly been hit and the man suffered stab wounds near the chest. Both victims are 30 -years- old. After yesterday's arrest, Taylor said her sister was very relieved. "What happened is everyone's worst nightmares!" she said. "He got past her back door deadbolt with a pair of hedge trimming scissors! We assume he walked around her house first because he took their phones and sisters money/purse. Then he attacked. If my sister hadn't pepper sprayed him he would of kept stabbing her boyfriend and then killed her." Wilson is scheduled to appear in Div. 3 Circuit Court this morning. Comments are closed.
