Indiana Central News INDIANAPOLIS – David Roberts, 50, of Terre Haute, was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison this moring in Indianapolis, accused of producing and possessing child pornography. Following the prison sentence, Roberts will also serve five years of supervised release. Roberts reportedly placed hidden cameras in the bedrooms and bathrooms at a home he shared with two female child victims, creating images of them while undressing for about a five-year span, from 2007 to 2012. Public Information Officer Tim Horty, of the Southern District of Indiana Department of Justice, explained that investigators found more than 23,000 images and videos of pornography stored on electronic equipment and storage devices in Roberts' home while executing search warrants, The joint investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Terre Haute Police Department began after a female juvenile victim reported concerns about Roberts to her mother. The sentencing was announced this morning by United States Attorney Josh J. Minkler. According to the report, there were at least five other victims. “Protecting our most vulnerable citizens from sexual predators has been and will remain a top priority of this office,” Minkler states in the press release. “If you abuse children in the Southern District of Indiana, you can expect the full wrath of federal prosecution.” Comments are closed.
