![]() PUTNAM COUNTY— A Terre Haute man was seriously injured after a crash on Interstate 70 this evening in Putnam County. Brandon J. McCracken, 24, was transported to a Terre Haute hospital for treatment of internal injuries suffered after a vehicle allegedly struck the motorcycle he was driving. Indiana State Police and Putnam County emergency agencies responded to a two-vehicle crash in the eastbound lanes of I- 70 near the 36 mile marker at 5 p.m. According to ISP Sgt. Joe Watts, a 2012 Chevrolet sedan, driven by Anthony D. Tabb, 23, of Indianapolis, was eastbound on I-70 and drove into the rear of the 2004 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by McCracken. The Tabb vehicle did not stop at the time of the collision; however, Watts noted that due to crash damage his vehicle sustained, it came to a halt approximately one -and- a- half miles away. "Tabb was not injured, but was cited for leaving the scene of a crash, no insurance, driving while suspended and reckless driving. Tabb may have disregarded a medical condition warning prohibiting him from driving which was a contributing factor in the crash," Watts said. He added that McCracken had been wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. The crash was investigated by ISP Trooper James Crisp. Assisting were ISP Trooper David Cox Jr., Cloverdale Police, Cloverdale Fire/Rescue, and Putnam County Operation Life Paramedics. Comments are closed.
