Indiana Central News VERMILLION COUNTY-- A Terre Haute woman riding along in a vehicle with an expired registration plate was arrested on multiple drug charges in Vermillion County yesterday.
Ashley N. Judson, 33, was booked into the Vermillion County Jail around 5 p.m. She is charged possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe, possession of paraphernalia and resisting law enforcement.
"Judson physically attempted to evade discussion and a “pat down” from Trooper [Michael] Organ, but was ultimately found at the scene to be in possession of suspected heroin and methamphetamine, along with various items of drug paraphernalia," Indiana State Police Sgt. Joe Watts ssaid, adding , "While being processed at the Vermillion County Jail, heroin, methamphetamine and 22 Methocarbamol tablets were found on her person." Meanwhile, the driver was cited for a traffic violation and released. According to the report, Trooper Michael Organ was patrolling SR 63 near CR 1000 N, when he noticed the northbound silver passenger car with the expired registration plate. Organ's K-9 alerted him to the passenger side of the vehicle during the traffic stop. "Trooper Organ noticed the passenger appeared very nervous and displayed signs indicative of possible criminal activity. Trooper Organ deployed his K-9 partner Zeke around the vehicle and Zeke gave a positive indication near the passenger’s side door area, " Watts explained.
