Indiana Central News SULLIVAN COUNTY - A Terre Haute man was taken into custody on a warrant yesterday in Sullivan County following a nearly six-month Indiana State Police child molesting investigation. Robert M. Morris, 59, is charged with child molesting -where defendant is at least 21 years of age, a Class 1 felony and child molesting - fondling or touching with child under 14, a Class 4 felony. Sgt. Matt Ames explained today that Morris allegedly molested a female and a male juvenile under the age of 14. Morris also allegedly showed the male juvenile pornographic movies, he said. The investigation began in April, when ISP received information from the Sullivan County Child Protective Services that the two children had allegedly been molested. The arrest warrant was issued yesterday and the suspect reportedly cooperated with law enforcement by going to the Sullivan County Jail around 8:30 p.m. "Morris proceeded to turn himself in yesterday to the Sullivan County Jail staff without incident, and is currently being held in the Sullivan County Jail on a $70,000 bond," Ame said.
