Indiana Central News A Terre Haute man was arrested after police responded to a call regarding shots fired on the city's north side this afternoon. Robert A. Sanchez, 48, was booked into the Vigo County Jail on a charge of felony intimidation around 4 p.m. He was detained after reportedly coming out of his Third Avenue residence, stating the weapon was merely a BB gun. Terre Haute Police Department officers responded to the 2300 block of Third Avenue just after 2 p.m. after an altercation between Sanchez and another man. Investigation revealed that Sanchez was armed with what appeared to be a handgun.Witnesses heard shots, as he allegedly threatened the other man during the dispute. According to the THPD, Sanchez consented to a search for the handgun and officers recovered a CO2 - powered BB gun from the residence. Comments are closed.
