![]() Terre Haute Police have arrested three adults and one juvenile in connection to an early morning armed robbery that occurred at a northside hotel Saturday. After being transported to the Terre Haute Police Department the same morning for questioning, the following individuals from Terre Haute were arrested and charged with armed robbery and auto theft:
According to Asstant Chief Shawn Keen, officers were dispatched to the Red Carpet Inn, located at 2150 N. Third St., just before 1:20 a.m. Investigation revealed that two male suspects had entered the victims’ hotel room and demanded property from them at gunpoint. A female reportedly was in the hotel room earlier and then left with the suspects. One of the items reported stolen included a set of keys to a company truck. The white Ford F-150 was then noticed to be missing. “A check revealed the suspects had taken the vehicle, which was located by officers at Third and Fourth Streets unoccupied, with the engine running and passenger door open,” Keen stated in a press release today. “A witness in the area indicated witnessing two females and a male flee from the truck.” Indiana State Police assisted in the search for the suspects with a K-9 unit, but the track was unsuccessful, according to the report. A THPD detective was able to determine the female was residing at 500 Fourth Avenue. Upon surveillance of the home, uniformed officers and detectives discovered a male, matching the description of one of the suspects, exiting the front door. “Officers spoke with the male, who had two other females exit the residence,” Keen said, adding that the officers then obtained permission from the home owner and found another male exiting from the upstairs portion of the home. A third man, Richard Gussler, ll, 24, was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant from Vigo County, unrelated to the armed robbery. Comments are closed.
