![]() Terre Haute Police Department Assistant Chief Shawn Keen has confirmed a man is dead after being shot at a northside bar early this morning, following an apparent argument between the victim and alleged homicide suspect (s). UPDATE: The deceased is Joshua T. Lilly, 30, of LaPorte. ---. According to the report, officers responded to the 6th Avenue Bar, located at 796 Lafayette Avenue, regarding shot being fired,at about 2:10 a.m., he explained. " Upon arrival, officers discovered a male in front of the bar with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his abdomen. The male was transported to Union Hospital where he later died,"Keen said. Reportedly, investigators conducted several witness interviews and reviewed surveillance video with the assistance of business owners in the area. "Investigators learned the shooting had been precipitated by a physical argument between two groups of males. Investigators have identified all participants, and are still attempting to locate two males involved in the incident," Keen said. The investigation is ongoing and findings are reviewed with the Vigo County Prosecutor’s Office, he added. Comments are closed.
