Indiana Central News The Terre Haute Fire Department is investigating a fire at a former factory located on the city's west side this morning. When fire crews arrrived on scene, there were flames seen coming from the building. One firefighter was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for exhaustion, according to scanner traffic. According to scanner traffic, construction workers were evacuated from the ICON building at around 9:15 a.m. when a propane tank reportedly exploded. A second tank reportedly exploded a short time later. The ICON building is being remodeled into an apartment building named RiverFront Lofts near Indiana State Univerity's campus, off First Street and Sycamore Streets. Comments are closed.
