Officers of the Terre Haute Police Department arrested a man believed to be connected to a stabbing shortly after finding the victim lying on the ground outside a southside apartment building last night.
Chad M. Anderson, 42, of Terre Haute, was booked into the Vigo County Jail at just after 1:30 a.m today. He is charged with intimidation and battery by bodily waste against the investigating officers. He is scheduled to appear in Div. 3 Court on Monday. Emergency crews responded to the to the 1400 block of south 25th street on a report of a stabbing last night around 9:15 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the the 57- year- old black male victim, also of Terre Haute, suffering from non life-threatening injuries. Officers reportedly had previously encountered Anderson earlier in the night with the victim. "The victim appeared to have been battered and also had what appeared to be a small stab wound," Sgt. Micheal Ellerman said today, adding that Terre Haute Fire Department personnel arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital where he was treated for his injuries. The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing and further information will be released as it becomes available.
