Indiana Central News A female Terre Haute Police Department officer was taken to a local hospital "to get checked out" following a crash while responding to a pursuit on the city's north side Saturday afternoon. Ultimately, one man was taken into custody at N. Sixth and Linden Streets around 3:30 p.m. Marquan D. Burgess, 20, of Terre Haute, was booked into the Vigo County Jail after being evaluated at a hospital. He is charged with refusal to identify self, resisting law enforcement, possession of marijuana, reckless driving and operating while intoxicated. Meanwhile, the pursuit involving the Pontiac passenger car spanned the area around N. 19th Street and Second Avenue, where the patrol car was struck , as well as one silver passenger car. A child in the second car reportedly was treated and released from a local hospital, as well. Comments are closed.
