UPDATE- Indiana State University Police alerted students today that the off campus incident involved a possible shooting suspect described as a dark complected male with a thin build, clean shaven with short hair.
The victim was shot in the leg. A passing vehicle was also struck by gunfire, with no other injuries reported. Officials believe that the victims were in the area looking for a house party. By Lucy Perry Indiana Central News A Terre Haute Police Department shooting investigation is underway after a male victim was hospitalized with gunshot-wound related injuries just after midnight. Officers responded to a call of shots fired in the area of N Sixth Street and First Avenue at around 12:15 a.m. "Upon arrival it was found that someone had fired several shots and one individual had suffered a gunshot wound," Public Information Officer Ryan Adamson said, adding the male victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released for non-life threatening injuries.
