By Lucy Perry Indiana Central News A Terre Haute Police Department shooting investigation is underway following a crash at a northside elementary school last night. Information is limited at this time, however , the victim later reportedly sought medical care for a gunshot wound at a nearby hospital. THPD officers were questioning suspects in a white pick-up truck just south of the scene, near Union Hospital. According to scanner traffic, a vehicle crashed at Quabache Elementary School at North Sixth Street and Maple Avenue around 8 p.m., causing some damage to the south side of the building. Witnesses informed ICN that a loud fight occurred between men in the area just before gunshots were fired. Officials notified the Vigo County School Corp. of the incident, according to scanner traffic. Accident re-constructionists were at the scene as well as several THPD officers, including a K-9 search for a weapon.
