![]() The Terre Haute Police Department is investigating a shooting at the Harrison Apartment complex that injured one man just after midnight. The victim was taken to an area hospital to receive medical attention for gunshot wound-related injuries. According to the report, a driver of a silver SUV flagged down THPD officers near South 25th and Hulman Streets seeking medical assistance for the gunshot victim, a passenger in the vehicle. Sgt. Michael Ellerman explained that officers directed them to the nearby Terre Haute Fire Department station at South 26th and Hulman Streets and called for an ambulance. While officers were at the scene of the complex, located in the 2500 block of south 25th Street, they received information regarding possible suspects. "As other officers were going to look for and secure the scene at the complex, dispatch received a call about a white SUV that was seen leaving the area of the shooting and the subjects inside possibly being involved," Ellerman said. He added that the vehicle was located and the occupants were detained for questioning. More information will be released as it becomes available. Ellerman says there is no current threat to the public’s safety regarding the shooting. Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call the Terre Haute Police Department at 812-238-1661 or Crime Stoppers at 812-238-STOP. Comments are closed.
