By Lucy Perry Indiana Central News A Terre Haute man is dead after crashing his motorcycle into an SUV on the city's east side Friday evening. Tyler E. Miller, 29, was pronounced deceased just after being transported by ambulance to a Terre Haute hospital. His son, 11-year-old Jake was a passenger on the motorcycle at the time and suffered a broken leg and other injuries. He was transported to an Indianapolis area hospital, where he was treated and released for the injuries suffered in the crash. Miller was operating a silver 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle, traveling eastbound on Wabash Avenue just after 6 p.m. Witnesses reported seeing Miller driving erratically, weaving in and out of traffic and speeding just before he crashed into the driver's side passenger door of the SUV, according to the report. According to the Terre Haute Police Department crash report, Linda S. Duerlinger, 46, also of Terre Haute, was driving a silver 2021 Kia Sportage. She was attempting to make a left turn from Woodridge to Wabash Avenue around 6:10 p.m., when the crash occurred. She stated she did not see the motorcycle at the time.
