THPD prostitution investigation at motel lands 5 in jail

​A Terre Haute Police Department prostitution investigation netted several arrests over the weekend.

 Chief of Police John Plasse explained today that following five suspects -- four females and one male --  have been charged in connection to the investigation at a local motel:

• Andrea Calvin 29,of Greenwood, was booked into the Vigo County Jail around 5 a.m. Sunday. She is charged with prostitution, possession of a schedule I drug, possession of cocaine, unlawful possession of a syringe and possession of paraphernalia.
• Daphine Murphy, 40, of Terre Haute, was booked into the Vigo County Jail at around 2 a.m.yesteday. She is charged with prostitution and possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
• Tracey Lange, 45, of Bloomington, was booked into the Vigo County Jail at around 11 p.m. Saturday. She is charged with prostitution.
• Tarranum Mallick, 50, of Evansville, was booked into the Vigo County Jail at about 3:30 a.m. yesterday. She is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a schedule IVcontrolled substance, possession of paraphernalia and prostitution.
•  Raymond Pruitt,37, Ellettsville, was booked into the Vigo County Jail at 11 p.m. Saturday. He is charged with possession of a stun gun.
