![]() Public Information Officer Ryan Adamson explained today that uniformed officers of the Terre Haute Police Department were dispatched to Lafayette and Maple Avenue in reference to an armed robbery early this morning. According to police scanner traffic at the time of the robbery, witnesses saw the suspect fleeing toward a wooded area after hearing gunshots near the Circle K gas station on Lafayette Avenue and noted they had seen him get out of a gold Chevy S10 pick-up truck. However, Adamson cleared up confusion in a press release this evening, stating that the male victim reportedly told officers he was robbed by an acquaintance in the parking lot of the Wabash Valley Girls Softball League at 2601 N 19th St. "The victim stated he was shot at several times by the suspect prior to the suspect fleeing the area on foot. The victim reported no injuries during this robbery," Adamson said. This case is currently under investigation. If you have any information about this case you are asked to call the Terre Haute Police Department at 812-238-1661. See related and previously updated story on the armed robbery.
