Indiana Central News A Terre Haute Police Department armed robbery investigation is underway after a man fled a local store with an undisclosed amount of cash today. Just before noon, the suspect entered the Family Dollar located at 1916 S. 3rd St. and brandished a weapon. “This subject was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun and did leave with cash taken from the register after ordering the employee to open the register,” according to a THPD press release. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a white male wearing dark clothing. He was also wearing a long sleeved grey shirt underneath, as well as sunglasses and a camouflage ball cap.
