UPDATE 4/23/17--- Public Information Officer Ryan Adamson reports that the suspect, Curtis S. Freeland, 31, of Terre Haute, was apprehended and booked into the Vigo County Jail at about 4:30 p.m. today on charges from the March 3 incident. He credits community tips to leading to the suspect's arrest.
Freeland has been charged with: Reisisting law enforcement, criminal recklessness, possession of meth, possession of schedule 1-4 controlled substance, failure to stop after an accident, driving while suspended and habitual offender. ---- By Licy Perry Indiana Central News A local man is wanted in connection to a Terre Haute Police Department investigation. The department is currently seeking the whereabouts of Curtis Freeland, described as a white, 31-year-old male, in reference to the pursuit that occurred on March 3 -- when the suspect allegedly led multiple law enforcement agencies, including K-9 units, on a pursuit late at night after fleeing from police during an attempted traffic stop on the north side of the city -- and then escaping on foot into a wooded area off Interstate 70. "There have been warrants issued for Freeland for the charges of resisting law enforcement, criminal recklessness and possession of methamphetamine," Public Information Officer Ryan Adamson said.
