UPDATE 3-5-19 -- A Terre Haute Police Department shooting investigation netted two arrests recently --- after officials say the men shot each other last month.
Detectives allege Jackson and Washington shot each other at Schaal and Rose Avenues on the city's east side Feb. 21. According to the Terre Haute Police Department report, Jackson and Washington both sought medical attention at a local hospital that night for treatment of gunshot wounds inflicted "in what is believed to have been a drug deal gone bad." --- Original story 2-25-19 An investigation is underway after two people were injured in a shooting last week on Terre Haute's east side. The Terre Haute Police Department is seeking information on the case after emergency crews were dispatched to the area of Rose and Schaal Avenues Thursday (Feb. 21) around 5:45 p.m. The suspect had fled the scene prior to officers' arrival. According to the report, two males were transported to hospitals to be treated for gunshot wounds . One of the victims was transported to an Indianapolis Hospital. Both victims reportedly remain hospitalized at this time, and are listed in stable condition. Officials of the THPD claim there is no risk to the public in connection to the shootings.
