![]() A victim in a southside robbery was battered and allegedly threatened with a hatchet if he didn't pay the suspects money he owed yesterday, according to a Terre Haute Police Department report. "The victim indicated that he was driven from the scene against his wishes and battered. The victim stated he was later returned to the residence and money taken from his person by force," Chief of Police Shawn Keen said, adding that one of the males allegedly threatened him with a hatchet. THPD officers responded to a report of a fight at 609 Grant St. at about 5 p.m. The victim informed officers that he had owed one of the suspects money. Investigation revealed that the victim had gotten into a vehicle with two males outside the residence. The victim reported that the two male suspects fled the scene in the Dodge Charger after allegedly obtaining money The case is under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Terre Haute Police Department at 812 238-1661.
