Indiana Central News A Terre Haute Police Department investigation has resulted in a woman's arrest arrest after police say she allegedly used nude photos of her ex boyfriend's teen daughter as a blackmail tactic. Tori L. Wible, 51, of Shelburn, was booked into the Vigo County Jail Monday around 11:30 a.m. She is charged with child exploitation - a Level 5 felony. According to the probable cause affidavit, prepared by THPD Det. Donald Toney, the investigation began after a man came to the police station to report to the desk officer that someone not known personally by him (later confirmed to be Wible under a fictitious name) contacted him on social media and was threatening to use the nude photos of his now-15-year-old daughter, "unless he destroys another person." That "another person" allegedly was the suspect, it turns out. The photos sent are reportedly of the girl posing nude when she was 13, the girl informed investigators a year ago. She stated she had sent nude photos to her now-ex-boyfriend. He then sent them to others. Investigation revealed that the suspect is the girl's father's ex- live in girlfriend. They broke up in 2017. "He said they had problems with their relationship and she quit her job and wanted him to do all the work and pay the bills, while she relaxed," according to court document. The man resorted to deleting social media accounts to avoid the harassing messages sent by the fictitious account. The suspect then allegedly contacted him several time by email. She sent photos of the girl posing naked from the hip up, showing breasts. "And, if you don't do something to Tori, I will publicly post these," one message stated. She continued to threaten to use them against him, although he reportedly politely responded that he had taken care of the photos and thanked her for her concern. Det. Toney ultimately was able to trace the cell phone and online accounts back to an IP address used at Wible's residence. She reportedly had been using her deceased mother's name on the accounts, according to the documents. Wible dodged efforts by Toney to interview her at the police station and was ultimately taken into custody on a warrant. She remains held in the jail on $10,000 bond. Her next court appearance is scheduled for August. Comments are closed.
