Cox, 30. of Terre Haute -- wanted in connection to a Thanksgiving Day break-in and stabbing --- was arrested early yesterday morning and booked into the Vigo County Jail. He is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of meth, aggravated battery and burglary of dwelling resulting in bodily injury. See original story below: --- 11/28/ 17 By Lucy Perry Indiana Central News The Vigo County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on the wherabouts of a burglary and aggravated battery suspect after a victim recently sought medical treatment for several stab wounds at a local hospital's emergency room. Jonathan "Johnny" M. Cox, 30, of Terre Haute, is wanted on a warrant for burglary and aggravated battery. He is described as having brown hair and brown eyes, weighing about 150 pounds and 5-feet , 9-inches tall. He also has a tattoo on his neck. Investigation revealed that the victim was in his Park Avenue apartment Thanksgiving morning when two masked suspects broke in. Ultimately, a fight ensued with the victim and the two individuals. Lt. Brian DeHart explained today that the victim was able to pull off one of the masks and identify one of the suspects as Cox. Subsequently, detectives with the Vigo Co. Sheriff’s Office spent most of Thanksgiving Day looking for Jonathan Cox, he said. Cox reportedly is involved with the victim's former girlfriend and a dispute was ongoing at the time of the break-in. The victim was treated and released from the hospital for multiple stab wounds suffered in the incident. Comments are closed.
