UPDATE 3/1/19 -- Vigo County Sheriff John Plasse says the 16-year-old male driver in the crash that killed 17-year-old Jenna Perrelle has been arrested and charged with reckless homicide (level 5 felony), criminal recklessness (level 5 felony), criminal recklessness (level 6 felony) and reckless driving (Class A misdemeanor). Assisting in this investigation were the Indiana State Police and Terre Haute Police Department.
--- UPDATE- The Vigo County Sheriff's Office confirms that an autopsy was performed this afternoon on the victim from the fatal crash that occurred last night. The victim has been identified as 17-year-old Jenna Perrelle, of Terre Haute. All of the other juveniles involved in the crash have been treated and released from the hospital. -- By Lucy Perry Indiana Central News The Vigo County Sheriff Office is investigating a late night single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of one person and injured others. Names have not been released. According to a VCSO press release, speed appears to be a factor in the fatal crash. Emergency crews responded to the crash on Curry Drive, near Sullivan Place, just before midnight. One victim was dead at the scene, while the other occupants were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries suffered in the crash. The fatal accident reconstruction team was called to the scene to assist in the investigation. The Terre Haute Police Department, Honey Creek Fire Department, Trans-Care Ambulance and Indiana State Police also assisted at the scene. Comments are closed.
