Indiana Central News The Vigo County Sheriff's Office is investigating an ATV crash involving a West Terre Haute boy early yesterday morning. According to 1st Sgt. Clayton White, the 10-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after being struck by a passenger car around 4:30 a.m in West Terre Haute. He was airlifted to Rily Children's Hospital in Indianapolis for broken bones and other non-life threatening injuries suffered in the crash. Emergency crews responded to the area of N. Cusick Place and Old Paris Road on the report of the accident. The father of the child was reportedly driving a separate four wheeler when the crash occurred. Charges could be filed soon. " I have spoken with the deputy that was out on scene, that took the crash report. We have now turned it over as a neglect of dependent case. It is pending at this time," White said. The DNR was notified. Sugar Creek Fire Department, Transcare ambulance, Lifeline, West Terre Haute Police Department assisted the deputies at the scene. Comments are closed.
