West TH man arrested for allegedly shooting, injuring 2 people

WEST TERRE HAUTE-  A local man was arrested after allegedly shooting two people Wednesday afternoon in western Vigo County. Apparently the shooting was a result of a dispute between neighbors.

Donald Kennedy, 67, of West Terre,  Haute, was booked into the Vigo County Jail and charged with aggravated battery and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.

Emergency crews responded to the 7100 Block of Fayette Road in West Terre Haute on the report of a shooting around 4 p.m.

​Vigo County Sheriff John Plasse said the two gunshot victims were transported to a local hospital for  treatment. He adds that their conditions are unknown at this time.
Deputies were able to locate the suspect inside a nearby residence. and take him into custody.

 The investigation is ongoing.
