Indiana Central News An Illinois woman was cited after a two-vehicle crash in Terre Haute with minor injuries reported late this morning
Indiana State Police Master Trooper Chip McKee reportedly drove upon a two-vehicle crash in the northbound lanes of Third Street at the Hulman Street intersection just before 11 a.m.
According to Sgt. Joe Watts, Michelle Heidelberg-Bauer, 44, of Shelburn, was southbound in a black 1998 Dodge pickup on on Third Street, attempting a left turn eastbound onto Hulman Street. "While attempting to complete her turn, a blue 2015 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by 69-year-old Marita Shelton of Palestine, Illinois, reportedly failed to stop for a red light [on Third Street]," Watts said, adding the two vehicles then collided. Shelton was transported to a nearby hospital for complaint of pain. No other injuries were reported at the scene. Shelton was cited for disregarding an automatic signal. The crash was investigated by ISP Master Trooper Chip McKee. Assisting were ISP Sergeant Joe Watts, Terre Haute Police Department and Terre Haute Fire Department. Comments are closed.
